The Spirit
Senior Warden’s Report
1 Corinthians 12:4-13
The Holy Spirit has been powerful this year at Christ
Church. So many people with so many gifts and talents
used to benefit others. Whether it be a simple hello to a
friend on Sunday or a complicated spaghetti fundraiser
dinner, we, the people of Christ Episcopal Church, have
diligently remained faithful to our Parish mission.
Through cooperation, and teamwork, we have had
successful fun-raisers for Outreach, Parish parties and
breakfasts, and beautiful Eucharist.
On behalf of the Vestry, I would like to thank each and
every person for your participation in all that we have
done and accomplished. You each are so important. As it
states in Corinthians, the parts individually are unique,
but the whole body put together is awesome. From the
person buying a ticket to the fund-raiser chair person;
from the choir singing from their hearts to the
congregation listening to the beautiful music; from the
youth who became part of the Eucharist to the supporting
congregation; from the persons who folded bulletins given
to the participants each Sunday who follow them—
everyone is necessary. Together, as a team, we can
continue to grow and shine “the light of Christ.”
Peace:
Doreen Raub

Brotherhood of St. Andrew
In 2011, the Christ Church Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew
continued to work for the spread of Christ's Kingdom. Although we're down to
five members (one from another parish), we had a successful year.
The Brotherhood-sponsored Men's Bible Study is now the longest running Bible
Study on record at Christ Church. We invite all men to join us on the third
Wednesday of every month. Scott Sipple organized two, very well received
Bible programs - during Lent and Advent. Chick Donovan again organized our
annual Parish Shorebirds outing - a good time was had by all.
The Brotherhood also coordinated the Parish's
participation in the Sussex Episcopal Work Camp. Christ Church Parishioners
built much needed wheel chair ramps and replaced drafty windows for low
income families. This year's Camp will be held three times from May to
September. More information to come.
We invite all men of the Parish to join us in working for the spread of
Christ's Kingdom through prayer, study, and service.
