The vestry

The Vestry is our governing body. Vestry members are elected at the annual meeting. The Vestry is responsible for finances, building, and grounds of the Parish. Members are part of committees and manage the ministries of Christ Church.

Committees report to the vestry following the 10 a.m. Eucharist during the monthly meeting held on the second Sunday of each month.

The Rev. Teresa Terry


Mother Teresa became Christ Church’s full-time rector in June 2017. She earned her Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary and was a seminarian intern at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Silver Spring, Md.

She also served as interim Episcopal Campus Chaplain for the University of Maryland at College Park and as interim Children’s Ministry Coordinator in Alexandria, Va.

In 2008, she retired from the United States Marines as a master sergeant after 24 years of military service.

She is an accomplished glass artist, outdoor and travel enthusiast, avid reader, dog lover and music and arts patron.

Nancy Benson

Parish Administrator

Nancy Benson was born and raised in New Jersey. Her professional career was largely spent in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries in New York City, New Jersey and Maryland. In 2007 Nancy and her husband, Gervasio, relocated to Milford.

Nancy is active in community affairs in Milford and chairs the Faith Relations Committee for Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. As Parish Administrator, she performs all office management and administrative duties.

Rebecca McDaniel


Rebecca McDaniel grew up singing in the Church of the Brethren, where her father was pastor. She then played piano for hotels in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, including the Capital Hill Hyatt, Watergate and Hay Adams.

Rebecca’s talent and expertise expanded to music positions in churches throughout area states. Before joining Christ Church, Rebecca was organist/choir at various churches including Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Church of the Brethren, and United Church of Christ.
